ICP (Ideal Customer Profile)
A defined set of attributes (industry, company size, role, geography, tech stack) that describes your best-fit prospects.
Every cold outreach motion gets sharper with a tighter ICP. "B2B SaaS, 50–500 employees, North America, currently using HubSpot" outperforms "any business" by a wide margin — the messaging can be specific because the audience is specific.
On BoomSauce, run separate sequences (and sometimes separate domains) per ICP. The reply rate signal becomes diagnostic: if ICP-A converts at 5% and ICP-B at 0.3%, you have a positioning problem in B, not a deliverability problem.
