FAQ

Questions, answered honestly.

Including the questions where the honest answer is no.

Pricing & billing

How does pricing work?+

Wallet-based, pay-as-you-go. You top up your wallet, and every action (domain registration, mailbox-day, warmup block, sent email) meters against the balance. No per-seat fees. No tiers. No subscription. Unused balance is refundable on request.

What does it cost?+

$25/yr per domain (or bring your own free). $0.033/day per mailbox (~$1/month). $0.25 per 50-email warmup block. $1.50 per 1,000 sends. The full rate card is on the home page.

Is there a free trial?+

Sign-up is free. Your wallet starts at $0. You can configure everything (domains, mailboxes, sequences) before you load any funds. Funds are only charged when you actually use the resource.

Can I get a refund?+

Unused wallet balance is refundable on request. Open a support ticket and we process it within 5 business days back to the original payment method.

Do you do annual contracts or volume discounts?+

For 1M+ sends/month or agency accounts running 50+ tenants, yes — contact sales. Below that, the pay-as-you-go rates already beat every per-seat tier in the market.

Deliverability

How is deliverability handled?+

Six layers, all enforced automatically: SPF/DKIM/DMARC at provisioning, real-mailbox warmup peering via CheddarInbox, per-mailbox reputation scoring, domain rotation enforcement at send-time, daily SendGrid stats reconciliation, and auto-pause on bounce/complaint thresholds.

See the full deliverability page for what each layer does and what dashboards expose them.

How long is warmup?+

21-day default ramp from 1 email/day to production volume. You can adjust pace per-mailbox if you have a reason. Warmup runs on the CheddarInbox P2P network — real human-pattern engagement, not synthetic traffic.

What happens if a mailbox starts bouncing?+

If hard bounce rate exceeds 5% or complaint rate exceeds 0.1%, we auto-pause warmup and stop sending from that mailbox. The mailbox stays receivable so you don't lose replies. Manual unpause when the rates recover.

Can I use my existing Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 mailboxes?+

Yes. SMTP credentials plug into BoomSauce; sending routes through SendGrid for warmup and direct via your provider for production volume (or fully via SendGrid if you prefer).

Domains & DNS

Do I need to register domains through BoomSauce?+

No. Bringing your own domain is free — we wire DNS at Cloudflare while you keep the registrar. Or buy fresh domains through us at $25/yr if you want the bundle (registration + DNS + 5 mailboxes + free 1-page website).

Which TLDs do you sell?+

Forty-nine TLDs supported, including .com, .net, .org, .io is via BYOD only. Full list on the buy-domain flow.

How does the free 1-page website work?+

Every domain you buy through us gets a generated brand site at the apex. It signals a real business to mailbox providers (a domain that resolves to a website looks more legitimate than one that 404s) and gives recipients a place to land if they Google your sender.

Migration & integration

Can I migrate from Apollo / Lemlist / Smartlead / Instantly?+

Yes. Each platform has a dedicated migration guide with step-by-step instructions and honest tradeoffs (including what those platforms do better).

Do you have a CRM?+

No. We push reply events to your CRM via webhook (Salesforce, HubSpot, Attio, custom). The deal lifecycle stays in your CRM where it belongs.

API access?+

Yes — open API with documentation at /api-docs. Webhook events for sends, opens, replies, bounces, complaints. No rate-limit gates on standard endpoints.

Compliance & legal

Is BoomSauce GDPR compliant?+

Yes. Data Processing Addendum available on request. EU data flows handled per Standard Contractual Clauses. Full compliance posture on /compliance.

CAN-SPAM?+

Every tenant provides their own physical mailing address at signup (CAN-SPAM Section 5(a)(5) requires the sender — you, not us — to include it). Unsubscribe links are appended automatically; suppression list is global per tenant and re-mailing a suppressed address is blocked at send-time.

Do you allow B2C cold email?+

No. We are a B2B-only platform. Sending cold marketing email to consumer addresses violates our Terms of Service and would burn the deliverability of every tenant on our infrastructure. We enforce this.
