Honest comparison

BoomSauce vs the rest.

We're not for everyone. This page is the long version of why — including the things we don't do, what other tools do better, and where the real tradeoffs live.

Last updated 2026-04-29. Pricing references competitors' published self-serve plans. Per-seat costs assume annual billing where offered. Y = included, P = partial / with caveats, N = not offered.

What BoomSauce is not.

  • Not a B2B lead database. Apollo and ZoomInfo are great at this. We don't store contact data sourced from third-party crawls — bring your own list (CSV, Apollo export, Clay enrichment, your CRM).
  • Not a B2C broadcast tool. If you're sending newsletters, e-commerce promos, or transactional email, you want SendGrid / Klaviyo / Mailchimp directly. We'll route your traffic through SendGrid for you, but the platform is built around 1:1 outbound — not 1:many marketing.
  • Not a full CRM. No deal stages, no pipeline view, no forecasting. We push reply events to your CRM via webhook; the deal lifecycle stays where it belongs.
  • Not a pre-built AI persona generator (yet). On the roadmap. Today, you write the templates; we deliver them with high fidelity.

When you should pick someone else.

Pick Apollo if

You need a built-in lead database with verified emails and don't want to manage a separate enrichment tool. Apollo's data layer is their moat.

Pick Lemlist if

You want polished AI icebreakers and personalization video baked into the sequencer, and you're sending under 5K emails/month.

Pick Smartlead if

You already own dozens of domains/mailboxes and just need a thin sequencer that respects them. We do that too — and cheaper — but if you're Smartlead-native, the migration cost may not pencil.

Pick Instantly if

You want the largest warmup pool (their network is bigger than ours today) and don't mind the per-seat pricing.

Same job, half the bill, better deliverability.

If your stack is Apollo + Smartlead + a warmup tool, you're paying for three things one platform should do. That platform is us.
